Assuring you painless and comfortable visit
Unlike general anesthesia, you will be put to sleep and have no control. Meanwhile, sedation works on the contrary. You will be conscious, relaxed, and respond to the dentists. When you wake up or are done with the dental process, you will not remember anything or feel pain, making it convenient and comfortable. Depending on your situation, you will be administered a specific sedative.
Types of Dental Sedation:
- Mild Sedation: Nitric Oxide – has momentary effects that allow you to return to your usual functionality afterward. It is advantageous for people who are alright with the process but need a little help from pain. Or for people who do not need much sedation due to a simple process.
- Moderate Sedation: Oral Sedation – is administered through a pill. It has a higher level of sedation, causing you to forget your visit and aiding your anxiety and fear. With this, you will feel more comfortable and relaxed during the process. However, you will have to compromise your work and productivity as it still takes time to vanish.
- Deep Sedation: IV Sedation – allows you to control the sedation you need depending on your preference and process. It will help you stay calm and relaxed, reduce your anxiety, and keep consciousness, letting you communicate with the dentist during the process.
